Google NotebookLM Example

Consider leveraging your time and amplifying your message using Google NotebookLM.

I have a trial lawyer tips newsletter and community over on Substack. I recently wrote an article titled, Ditch the Laptop, Own the Room: How Real Trial Lawyers Connect with Jurors. I hit publish and it was sent to all my community members.

Next, I shared the article across social.

Audio

But there’s more. Here’s how I used Google NotebookLM to take things to the next level. You can do this with your own firm’s marketing and branding content or, for your internal memos and research efforts.

I imported the new article into Google NotebookLM (copy/paste, sharing the UL or adding the Google Doc). Next I clicked “audio overview” and the AI took my article and created a back and forth conversation about the topic. We then downloaded the audio file. We distributed the file internally and also added it to our The Verdict podcast show. Here’s the Apple Podcasts version.

Video

We then clicked another link in Google NotebookLM and created this video. Again we circulated it internally and will adding it to our YouTube channel in the next day or two. We’ll probably also embed the video in another ebook we’re working on. Here’s the video below. There are settings in Google NotebookLM that allow you to customize the video but this is the default version.

MindMap

Next, with one click we created a MindMap of the process or main talking points in the original article. This is what it created below. We only expanded a few levels so that the diagram would fit nicely on this page.

Other Items

We could have also created a Briefing Doc, Study guide, FAQ and Timeline (see image below).

I’m guessing you get the idea. The sky’s the limit when it comes to creating new content with just a click or two.

Consider using this powerful tool to create and share engaging and helpful content internally with your team and externally to market and brand your firm.

Google NotebookLM allows you to import dozens of resources to create these reports, audios, videos and everything else.

Pretty darn cool!

I share more AI tips for lawyers on LinkedIn and over in my AI, Web3 and Metaverse newsletter. If you’re interested in more trial tips like this one, get The Verdict (it’s free) on Substack.

Thanks!
